When you aren’t feeling so great about yourself (yes, we all have those moments) take the time to write down everything in your life that you are grateful for. Because we all have so many beautiful things in our lives that we take for granted. We often focus on what we think we missing in our lives instead of focusing on what we already have and appreciating that. This literally takes 10 minutes but can have you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside in no time.

These feelings of inadequacy can promote a ‘compare and despair’ attitude. Social media posts can also set unrealistic expectations and create low self-esteem. We are experiencing a negative impact on our self-image as well as our self esteem. Instagram and other social networks are associated with high levels of anxiety, depression, bullying and a FOMO! So get off and start living!
GET OUT INTO NATURE
Get off the phone and get out into nature. Nature helps our health tremendously. Besides boosting happiness, positive emotion, and kindness, exposure to nature may also have physical and mental health benefits. Nature experiences lead to reduced stress and behavioral changes that improve mood and general well-being.
Being outdoors gives us energy, makes us happier, helps us to relieve the everyday stresses of our overscheduled lives, opens the door to creativity, and helps us to be kind to others.
