NYFW is the official kick off to the international fashion week schedule, with designers showing their collections from all around the world. This year we saw bloggers, models and fashionistas of all sorts embracing the cold weather with grace and style.
Street style has become such a big part of fashion week. We all love to see the clothes on the runway but also admire the ‘off-duty’ style of models and fashion’s elite. Fashion month is now an opportunity to give those new forward thinking fashion lovers a chance to sport their own individual style.
This NYFW we followed some of our favourite photographers who meet the streets of New York in between shows, when the streets become the focus point and turn into a catwalk, so-to-speak.
Photographers and the world of fashion photography has engaged a huge focus on street style, recreating looks and inspiring original style. Photographers at fashion week are able to capture a moment that is at the essence of the hectic and adrenaline filled NYFW.
Those attending fashion week know to always be style ready as the photographers are at every corner. Some of the most stylish members at fashion week are the photographers themselves. Here are some of our favourites to follow:
This beauty is Nancy Gomez. She is a photographer and model and no doubt you’ve seen her work online or through her Instagram page @FancyGomez. We followed her during NYFW where she was behind the scenes on various shows with her camera capturing the true essence of fashion week. Totally in love wth the blog post, ‘Girls and: Hotline Bling’, on @NYFW featuring her photos. Have a look here!
Nancy Gomez is not only behind the camera but also a fashionista herself and knows how to create an effortless NYFW outfit. This moment was captures by @KatPage.
Snapped by the amazing Rhaiffe Ortiz (@Rhaiffe)
I love the style and feel of Lucas Landau’s photos from NYFW. Follow him @Landau.
Mario Villanueva (@MarioVillanuevaStyle) captures the energy, movement and pure hustle and bustle of NYFW. I love his vivid photography and the way he captures these moments because if theres one thing we know about fashion week, it’s that no one is ever standing still for long!
Last, but by no means least, is the incredible Leo Faria (@LeoFaria).
